About me
My journey
My inspirations
I was born in 1983 in Brussels where I grew up, studied, worked and founded a family.
Drawing and painting have always been an essential part of my life.
I have worked as a designer of all kinds, created posters, flyers and visual identity.
My main occupation was that of colorist and restorer of comic strips from the 70s, 80s and 90s.
I draw my inspiration as much from the great classical or contemporary masters as from pop culture, comics, movies, science fiction, literature, nature and the infinite universe.
I have explored and developed many techniques such as acrylic, gouache, digital painting, Indian ink and wash.
Today I devote myself to my passion, one of my reasons for living, watercolor.
Watercolor is an amazing material!
The feel of the paper, its interaction with the pigment and water, the way the colours mix, the way the brush glides smoothly over the surface, the stages of drying,
all these things give me an almost sensual relationship to watercolor.
No other technique can evoke light with such beauty and clarity. As watercolor arists often say, "Light is simply not painted." It emerges transparently from the white of the paper and through the layers of paint.
As its name suggests, water is at the heart of watercolor. It allows a mixing, a sometimes very spontaneous fusion of colors, causing unexpected results with which the artist must compose.
It will always be a source of astonishment, satisfaction and wonder.
